  • Lightning fast Lavezzi: Argentina Ezequiel Lavezzi (l) in action against Germany in the 2014 World Cup Final.

Liverpool were lining up an offer for PSG's Ezequiel Lavezzi as a replacement for Luis Suarez but the Argentine has confirmed that he would prefer a switch to Juventus.

The striker will cost around €25 million (AED 123 million).

The French Ligue 1 champions have to sell a star player if they manage to capture Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria. It is likely that either Lavezzi or Edison Cavani will depart so the club don't break the Financial Fair Play like they did in May.

Lavezzi scored nine goals in 32 Ligue 1 appearances last term and has notched seven goals in 19 Champions League matches since he joined the club for €30m (AED 150m) from Napoli.
