  • Liverpool have shown interest in signing AS Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar according to reports.

The Telegraph claim the Reds have made an inquiry and are mulling over what would be a club record fee of €60 million to lure the Frenchman to Anfield.

Lemar has been heavily linked to Arsenal this summer, who Liverpool beat 4-0 on Sunday, but a move to the Emirates Stadium never materialised.

Despite Liverpool’s interest, Monaco are not keen on selling the youngster with Kylian Mbappe already on the verge of making a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

Monaco have already sold Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva to Manchester City as well this summer and are under no pressure to accept Liverpool’s bid should one be forthcoming.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are still interested in Philippe Coutinho despite having a €125 million bid rejected by the Anfield outfit.

The Catalans are expected to launch one final bid before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
