  • Trying to force a move? Lewandowski.

The transfer window may not open again until January 1 2018 but that hasn’t put an end to plenty of speculation throughout Europe.

Here, we take a look at three big stories dominating the headlines on Saturday.

    LEWANDOWSKI EYES REAL SWITCH

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has apparently revealed a move to Real Madrid would fulfill a dream for him.

The Pole’s long-term future at the Bundesliga giants has been subject to intense speculation for a while now, with Lewandowski’s representatives stating that at 29, now is the time for him to make the next step.

Having won three consecutive league titles with the Bavarians, according to AS, the former Dortmund man feels he now has the optimum chance to leave Germany and challenge himself again – with a switch to Real Madrid being at the top of his wishlist.

While the prolific star’s Bayern contact lasts until 2021, it is unlikely he will see through that deal and instead try to force a move away at least by the end of the season.

There has been no official bid from Los Blancos for his services, but that could well change now that they are aware of Lewandowski’s plans.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stated the club know about the player’s current thought process and are prepared to lose the hitman.

    SERI GOING NOWHERE IN JANUARY

Jean Michael Seri has declared he will not leave Nice in the mid-season transfer window.

The 26-year-old, who was on the verge of joining the Nou Camp club before last month’s transfer window deadline, will now stay at the Ligue 1 side until the end of this season at least.

“I will not go in the winter transfer window, whoever comes in for me, that is clear,” the central midfield man told L’Equipe.

“I will be fine here until next June and there is no debate.”

The Ivorian is contracted to the Eaglets until 2019.

    Staying put for now: Seri.

AC MILAN TARGET BARCA STAR VIDAL

The Rossoneri are planning a January swoop for Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Milan are searching for defensive reinforcements after first-choice star Andrea Conti was ruled out for six months with a knee ligament injury.

Former Sevilla man Vidal is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and will be allowed to leave either on loan or permanently during January.
