  • The transfer window may not open again until January 1 2018 but that hasn’t put an end to plenty of speculation throughout Europe.

    DELE ALLI

Dele Alli has been promised a blockbuster move to either Manchester United or Real Madrid by agents bidding for his signature, according to the Mirror.

The 21-year-old is being courted by some of the world’s top sports agencies following his decision to drop long-term representatives Impact Sports Management.

Among those interested in adding Alli to their client list are Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola, the man who handles Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s business.

The England international is well down the pecking order on Spurs top earners list so it may prove difficult to hold on to him – should Real Madrid or Manchester United submit a substantial bid next summer.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

With Kyle Walker signing for Manchester City in July, it is unlikely Spurs would sanction Alli’s departure before next summer.

If anything Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bolster his squad, and with Alli scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists last season, the club will be keen to hang on to their prized asset.

But unless Daniel Levy offers his ace midfielder a bumper contract, the England international could leave North London.

    DRIES MERTENS

Arsenal are set to launch a bid for Napoli striker Dries Mertens, according to Calciomercato .

With the Gunners prepared to part with Mesut Ozil next summer, Arsene Wenger is looking to secure the services of the Belgian international.

Wenger was keen on the 30-year-old over the summer, but is set to trigger his €30 million release clause at the end of the current campaign.

    RATING: 5/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Mertens is a fans’ favourite at the Stadio San Paolo and Napoli will want to do all they can to keep last season’s dream team together.

However, the Belgium international will be 31 next summer and may not get another chance for a big move.

    LEON GORETZKA

Arsenal have stepped up their interest to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to the Mirror.

Despite widespread reports that Bayern have already secured a deal with Goretzka – who is out of contract at the end of season – Arsenal are ready to nip in and agree a deal with the German international.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Goretzka is one of the stars of German football after his stunning displays for Joachim Low’s side in the Confederations Cup during the summer.

With Bayern Munich struggling at present, the 22-year-old could opt to pursue a new challenge in the Premier League instead as the Gunners look for a midfielder capable of pulling the strings for years to come.
