  • Not going anywhere: United won't part with Martial to get Sanchez.

Manchester United have categorically refused to include Anthony Martial as makeweight in any potential deal for Arsenal‘s Alexis Sanchez, according to RMC Sport

United are currently the frontrunners to land Sanchez, although neither they nor Manchester City have been able to come to an agreement with Arsenal. The Gunners were hoping to persuade United to part with one of their players in exchange for Sanchez, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan the other player mooted as a possible target.

When Arsenal enquired about Martial, however, they were rebuffed, with United manager Jose Mourinho and the club’s board ruling out parting with the Frenchman.

United are so far the only team ready to match Arsenal’s £35million valuation of Sanchez, so the Gunners’ attempts to secure a Red Devils player in exchange seem to be the only thing holding up the transfer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been linked with moves for Borussia Dortmund‘s wantaway forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and talented Bordeaux winger Malcom.

Aubameyang is close to Sven Mislintat, the former Dortmund chief scout who has recently taken up the same role at Arsenal. The Gunners are reportedly in talks with Dortmund over a potential deal, and are also planning to lodge a £40million bid with Bordeaux for Malcom.
