  • The January transfer window may be shut but there’s still plenty of news from the rumour mill with several moves being put off until the summer.

Here, we round-up the transfer tales that have got everyone talking on Saturday.

    MARC-ANDRE TER STEGEN

Man United are set to launch an £89m offer for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to the Daily Star.

With speculation continuing to mount that David de Gea could be heading to Real Madrid this summer, the Old Trafford hierarchy are putting plans in place to lure the German international to England’s north-west.

Jose Mourinho has put the 25-year-old at the top of his transfer wish list, with ter Stegen keeping 19 clean sheets in all competitions this term.

    IVAN RAKITIC

Manchester United are eying a move for Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic this summer, according to the Mirror.

Although Rakitic is one of Ernesto Valverde’s most trusted lieutenants, there is no guarantee he will start since the arrival of talisman Philippe Coutinho last month.

If the Barca boss is to drop one of his midfielders, it is likelier to be the Croatian international over the likes of Andres Iniesta, Paulinho and Sergio Busquets.

After four seasons at the Camp Nou, the 29-year-old is believed to be exploring his options with Juventus, Arsenal and Liverpool also interested in securing his services.

    WILLEM GEUBBELS

Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona are monitoring the progress of Lyon sensation Geubbels, Goal reports.

The 16-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after talents, with leading sides across the continent showing interest in the young attacker.

Geubbles, who has made four appearances for Bruno Genesio’s side this term, has reportedly snubbed a new contract at Groupama Stadium and is weighing up his options for next season.

Monaco are believed to be favourites to land the Frenchman’s signature.
