JACK WILSHERE

On the move? Jack Wilshere.

AC Milan are poised to make a move for the Arsenal midfielder after his outstanding display in the Europa League last week.

The Express are reporting that the Rossoneri are ready to launch a raid for the Gunners star who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Talks to renew the 26-year-old’s deal seem to have stalled though Wilshere has made it clear he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, too, want to keep the playmaker but need to tie him up to fresh terms quickly and ward off further interest from Juventus and Sampdoria.

LAUTARO MARTINEZ

Hot prospect: Lautaro Martinez.

Manchester City are the latest club to show an interest in signing the prolific Racing Club striker Lautaro Martinez, claims the Express.

The Argentinian, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is also being scouted by Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan.

The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals in 14 matches this term, and is being touted as one of South America’s next big stars.

Martinez rejected a loan move to Los Blancos two years ago and is tipped to be included in Jorge Sampaoli’s World Cup squad this summer.

Tipped to end PSG stay: Edinson Cavani.

Though the winter transfer window just passed and the summer window is still months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at potential transfer candidates that could be heading elsewhere when the market reopens in June.

EDINSON CAVANI

Wanted man: PSG star Cavani.

Man United and Chelsea are set to battle it out to sign the £53m-rated (Dh270m) Paris-Saint-Germain striker, according Le Parisien.

The Uruguayan is said to feel unsettled in the French capital following the arrival of Neymar in August.

The 31-year-old, who has spent nearly five seasons at the Parc des Princes, is ready for a new challenge with those at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge keen on securing his services.

Cavani has been in stunning from this season, scoring 33 goals in 38 in all competitions for Unai Emery’s side.

N’GOLO KANTE

Marathon man in the middle: Kante.

Paris-Saint-Germain have made the Blues star one of their primary summer targets, Canal+ report.

The Ligue 1 leaders, who were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage to Real Madrid last week, want Kante to bolster their midfield as they attempt an assault on Europe’s premier competition next season.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has developed into one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and would be available for a fee in the region of £35m (Dh178m), though the Stamford Bridge club would take some convincing to sell him.

MAX MEYER

Arsenal have made the Schalke midfielder a top target, according to Daily Star.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to leave Arena AufSchalke, with Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona also expressing an interest in the German international.

Dubbed the new Toni Kroos, Meyer is a versatile midfielder who can play anywhere through the centre of the park – as well as perform with equal measure on the flank.

Meyer is set to end his nine-season stay with Schalke by turning down their second offer of a lucrative new long-term deal.

Bryan Cristante has impressed in Serie A this term.

Though the winter transfer window just passed and the summer window is still months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

ARSENAL STEP UP CHASE FOR ATALANTA ACE BRYAN CRISTANTE

Cristante has starred in the Europa League this term.

The Gunners are ready to launch a summer move for the Italy international, who has also been heavily linked with Napoli, Juventus, Liverpool and Lazio.

The 23-year-old AC Milan academy product, who is on loan at Atalanta from Benfica, is enjoying a stellar Serie A campaign and has netted 10 goals this term.

Remarkably, Atalanta have an option in the loan agreement to buy the midfielder for just €4m (Dh18m) in the summer – though the Portuguese giants will try and wave that clause to spark a bidding war in the region of €30m (Dh135m).

According to Football Italia, Arsene Wenger’s men have scouted the talent and are favourites to sign him – though a deal isn’t likely to be made until after the World Cup in Russia.

CHELSEA KEEPER MATEJ DELAC TO MOVE ON

Delac has been a long servant without any game time.

The long-serving Blues goalkeeper is set to end his Stamford Bridge exile this summer.

Delac, who signed for the west London side in 2009 but has never played for the first-team, has been sent out on ten loan spells during that period.

The 25-year-old is currently plying his trade with Belgian outfit Mouscron but is out of contract at the end of the season and will leave the club on a free.

Remarkably, the Croatian is the Chelsea’s longest-serving player but has been surplus to requirements for most of his stay with the Premier League side.

GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA

Highly-rated: Donnarumma.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to launch a big-money summer bid for the AC Milan goalkeeper, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian international’s San Siro future is unclear, despite the fact he only penned a new deal with the Rossoneri last summer while Milan have been linked with the free transfer acquisition of Napoli’s Pepe Reina.

PSG are no strangers to splashing big cash and could afford Donnarumma’s £65m (Dh330m) release clause, with the 19-year-old making it clear he wants to play Champions League football.

Liverpool, Juventus and Real Madrid are all in the mix for the giant shot-stopper but Milan won’t be rushed into selling Donnarumma for anything but a huge fee.
