  • Bellerin could be leaving the Gunners.

Though the winter transfer window just passed and the summer window is still months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at potential transfer candidates that could be heading elsewhere when the market reopens in June.

    HECTOR BELLERIN

Arsenal are ready to sell the highly-rated £50m (Dh 255m) defender in the summer to help fund their squad rebuild, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spanish international has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young players but his development has stalled over the past two seasons.

Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City have all shown an interest in the 22-year-old right-back, who has made over 150 appearances for the North London side.

The paper reports that Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, wants to use the money from Bellerin’s transfer to sign at least three new players – a goalkeeper, a defensive midfielder and a centre-back.

Likely to leave the Emirates: Bellerin.

    ALBAN LAFONT

Arsenal face competition from Napoli and Roma in their bid to sign the highly-rated French goalkeeper from Toulouse, reports L’Equipe.

The 19-year-old is under contract until the end of the season, with the two Serie A sides ready to battle it out with the Gunners for his services.

Lafont is being tipped to replace Hugo Lloris as the future Les Bleus’ No.1 and the Gunners see him as the ideal replacement for the error-prone Petr Cech and out-of-favour David Ospina.

The French under-20 international is the youngest shot-stopper to have ever played in Ligue 1 and has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for Toulouse, including 33 in all competitions so far this campaign.

The Gunners are chasing a new man between the sticks.

    KENEDY

Newcastle will try to land the in-form Brazilian attacker on a permanent deal at the end of the season, The Mirror claims.

Toon boss Rafa Benitez will have to pay up to £15m (Dh 75m) for the 22-year-old who has helped to lift United five points clear of the relegation zone.

Kenedy scored twice against Southampton at the weekend and has made six league starts this term – more than he made in nearly 30 months at Stamford Bridge.

The former Fluminense man has previously admitted that he is open to the prospect of staying on Tyneside if they remain in England’s top flight.

Kenedy is hoping to fire Newcastle to safety.
