  • Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    MATTEO DARMIAN

Juventus will move for the Manchester United defender this summer instead of Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin.

According to Goal, the Old Lady prefer the 28-year-old Italian over the Gunners’ Spanish star – and will launch a raid worth up to €20m (Dh90m).

Darmian, who has featured just five times in the Premier League this season, has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and struggled to make much of an impact since joining from Torino back in 2015.

However, Massimiliano Allegri is keen on the full-back and knows United will not stand in his way in allowing him to move back to Turin.

Bellerin, on the other hand, is a man Arsenal want to keep and he will reassess his options once the season is out.

Darmian looks to be on his way out of Old Trafford.

    JEROME BOATENG

Bayern Munich are braced for a bidding war over the coveted defender this summer, The Sun reports.

The versatile Germany stalwart is wanted by Manchester United and Manchester City while Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have also expressed an interest.

Rated at around €50 million (Dh226m), the 29-year-old only signed a new contract until 2021 last December and is seen as a key man for the Allianz Arena outfit despite missing a chunk of this season through injury.

Boateng, of course, had a spell at City during the 2010-11 campaign and it is possible his former Bayern boss Pep Guardiola could tempt him back to Manchester if the duo hold talks.

    LUKE SHAW

Everton have emerged as unlikely candidates to sign the out-of-favour Manchester United left-back, according to ESPN.

The Goodison Park club are on the lookout for a new left-footed full-back, with the club’s cult hero Leighton Baines coming towards the end of his career at 33.

The position has been a problem for Sam Allardyce’s men this term, with right-back Cuco Martina often unnaturally filling the void due to Baines’ injury problems.

But now, it seems as though the Toffees could end Shaw’s Old Trafford nightmare and purchase the 22-year-old this summer.

The former Southampton star, who was taken off at half-time during the FA Cup victory at Brighton last weekend, has fallen out with boss Jose Mourinho after a series of public dressing downs by the Portuguese boss.

Shaw could be available for significantly less than the £30 million (Dh155m) fee United shelled out for his signature back in 2014.
