Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    ANDRE GOMES

The Barcelona midfielder’s future will be decided by his brother, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Liverpool and AC Milan have both been chasing the former Valencia star, who has struggled to establish himself as a Camp Nou regular and has had to deal with being jeered by the Blaugrana faithful this term.

However, the Portugal international is still only 24 and is likely to be allowed to leave for less than the €35 million fee (Dh158m) Barca shelled out for his signature in the summer of 2016.

With Philippe Coutinho‘s arrival and Gremio star Arthur incoming, Gomes’ first-team chances are limited. His brother, Joao, is apparently in talks with a host of clubs to secure his client a big transfer this summer.

Gomes has had a tough time in Catalonia.

    TONI KROOS

The Real Madrid midfielder has apparently asked Los Blancos for some time to make a decision over his long-term future.

The Express reports that the German playmaker, who is contracted to the Bernabeu club until 2022, will confirm within the next month if he wants to stay in the Spanish capital next season.

Kroos is set to star at this summer’s World Cup in Russia and has been linked with Manchester United following a below-par season in which he has struggled to hit top form.

That said, the 28-year-old is still a man Zinedine Zidane admires and he isn’t someone he would allow to leave easily.

Kroos enjoyed his finest game of the season against Girona recently.

    CHRIS SMALLING

Everton are ready to launch a summer bid for the Manchester United centre-back, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Toffees are seeking a long-term partner for Michael Keane in defence, with club captain Phil Jagielka coming towards the back-end of his career at 35 and Ramiro Funes Mori’s future uncertain following a long-term injury.

Smalling, who has only 15 months left on his Old Trafford deal, is reportedly going to be replaced by Jose Mourinho next season despite being a regular starter of late.

The Blues have also been linked with out-of-favour Phil Jones but are said to prefer the 28-year-old former Fulham man.

Chris Smalling was excellent in Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Liverpool.

Chris Smalling is likely to leave the Manchester club.
