  • Griezmann is coveted by the Camp Nou club.

Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    ANTOINE GRIEZMANN

Barcelona are poised to raid Atletico Madrid for the French striker before this summer’s World Cup finals, according to Sport.

Blaugrana have been tracking the 27-year-old for some time but failed in their pursuit to sign the forward at the beginning of last season. The Spanish giants were also linked with his signature during the January transfer window.

But now, it seems, Ernesto Valverde’s men will meet Griezmann’s €100 million (Dh454m) release clause and pay the sum in two installments before he links up with the France squad ahead of the tournament in Russia.

The former Real Sociedad man has been in stunning form this term, particularly in 2018, netting 23 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.

    Hotshot: Griezmann.

    STEFAN DE VRIJ

Barcelona have not given up hope of signing the Lazio defender, although Inter Milan are firmly at the front of the queue to complete a deal.

The Netherlands ace, who is out of contract in June, has been in talks with the Nerazzurri but is also wanted by both Blaugrana and Manchester City.

According to the La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Vrij is happy to stay in Serie A and pen terms with the San Siro side but could be tempted by a bigger money contract elsewhere.

The former Feyenoord man, 26, has become one of the leading centre-backs in world football with a series of strong displays in each of the past two seasons.

    TIMO WERNER

Liverpool are keeping a watchful eye over the in-demand RB Leipzig striker as Jurgen Klopp plots a large offer for his signature.

German news outlet Bild reports that the Merseysiders are prepared to spend big this summer and view the 22-year-old as their top transfer target.

At just 22, the Germany international is one of the hottest properties around in Europe and is expected to carry the weight of expectation this summer for Joachim Low’s side in Russia.

The Kop club could launch a stunning raid for his services, with sources suggesting Werner might fetch an eye watering fee in the region of £87.5million (Dh415m).
