  • Heading out of Old Trafford? Fellaini.

Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    MAROUANE FELLAINI

The Manchester United midfielder is likely to leave Old Trafford and ply his trade in Ligue 1 next season, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belgian’s contract is up in June, with the 30-year-old unlikely to put pen to paper on a new deal having apparently demanded too much cash.

With Michael Carrick due to retire and there being doubts over the long-term future of Paul Pogba, Fellaini looks set to be the latest central midfield man to exit Jose Mourinho’s squad.

At the moment, Monaco are leading the race to land the former Everton man but that transfer is unlikely to be completed before the World Cup finals in Russia.

Valencia are another club rumoured to be interested in his signature.

    THIBAUT COURTOIS

The Chelsea shot-stopper, who has been linked with a move to either Real Madrid and former side Atletico, has hinted he could remain at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Belgian goalkeeper has told sources close to him he is willing to stay at the Blues next season even if he doesn’t agree new terms on his current contract which is due to expire in 2019.

Recently, the 25-year-old disclosed he wanted to be closer to his family and live in the Spanish capital again, following his three-year stint with Diego Simeone’s men between 2011 and 2014.

Courtois has also attracted the interest of Paris Saint-Germain but appears more likely now to keep his feet on the ground in west London.

Thibaut Courtois is yet to agree a new contract with Chelsea.
