MAROUANE FELLAINI

The Belgian international has reportedly offered himself to Roma as he looks set to leave Manchester United this summer.

The Red Devils are in talks with the Belgian over a new deal, but Felliani is unlikely to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Fellaini is keen to move to Serie A having put talks with several Turkish clubs on hold.

The 30-year-old has struggled to hold down a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI and has been used as an impact sub.

LUCIEN FAVRE

Arsenal have identified Nice boss Lucien Favre as a potential replacement for Arsene Wenger, reports L’Equipe.

With the Gunners set to finish outside the top four for the second successive season, Wenger’s future at the Emirates Stadium is in doubt.

Favre is currently in his second season with Nice, who finished third behind Monaco and PSG in Ligue 1 last year.

The 60-year-old also played a key role in transforming Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach from relegation candidates to a side who sealed a place in the Champions League.

CHRISTIAN KOFFI

Liverpool are set to sign Monaco wonderkid Christian Koffi when his contract expires at the end of June, L’Equipe claims.

The 17-year-old has yet to make his senior debut for the defending Ligue 1 champions, but has drawn comparisons to Liverpool star Sadio Mane.

The Frenchman can play as a central midfielder or out wide and has featured for Monaco in the UEFA Youth League this season.

He is seen as a potential alternative to long term target Thomas Lemar – who is also wanted by Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

MARC-ANDRE TER STEGEN

Bayern Munich are set to battle with Manchester United to sign the highly-rated £87m (Dh 100m) Barcelona goalkeeper, according to the Daily Star.

With speculation continuing to mount that David de Gea could be heading to Real Madrid this summer, the Old Trafford hierarchy are putting plans in place to lure the German international to England’s north-west.

Jose Mourinho has put the 25-year-old at the top of his transfer wish list, with ter Stegen keeping 18 clean sheets in La Liga this term.

SOKRATIS

Manchester United and Arsenal are considering a summer swoop for the highly-rated Borussia Dortmund defender, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils need a new centre-back and have watched the 29-year-old in action over the past few months.

Although they are interested in signing Tottenham ace Toby Alderweireld, who is out of contract at the end of this season,

Sokratis is also on their radar – and at £25 million (Dh 127m) – should be an easier target to bring to Old Trafford.

Man City were offered Man United's Paul Pogba in January, says Pep Guardiola

Manchester City were offered the chance to sign Manchester United’s Paul Pogba during the January transfer window, according to City manager Pep Guardiola.

“I said no. We don’t have the money to buy Pogba because he is so expensive,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday as he attacked the conduct of agent Mino Raiola.

Guardiola also suggested Raiola offered him then United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan shortly before his move to Arsenal in part-exchange for Alexis Sanchez.

City will win this season’s Premier League title if they beat second-placed United at the Etihad on Saturday.

There is no suggestion that United had given their approval for Pogba – signed for a club-record fee of £89 million ($125 million, 102 million euros) from Juventus in 2016 – to be offered to City.

Guardiola’s ire was aimed solely at Raiola, with whom he has had a long-running feud dating back to his Barcelona days.

That feud was reignited two weeks ago when Raiola called Guardiola a “zero”, a “coward” and a “dog” after former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of his clients, moved from Old Trafford to join the LA Galaxy in the United States’ Major League Soccer.

Raiola has long believed Guardiola forced Ibrahimovic out of Barcelona in 2011, a year before they won the Champions League — a competition the Sweden forward has never won.

“Finally, the people discover my secrets – I am a bad guy, I’m a coward,” Guardiola said Friday with heavy sarcasm.

“So if I’m a bad guy, and he (Raiola) has to protect his players, then he has to know he cannot bring the players (to) a guy like me, who is a dog.”
