Despite scoring 15 goals in all competitions this season, Dybala has dipped in and out of form and favour at in Turin under Massimiliano Allegri.

Liverpool are ready to splurge on a marquee player following Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona in January while the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain circle Mohamed Salah.

Verdict

He may be on course for yet another Serie A title with Juventus but the Argentine hasn’t enjoyed his best season and may even miss out on a spot in the national team for the World Cup. Liverpool would do well to land him and in doing so, prepare for Salah’s inevitable departure, whether that comes in this summer or the next.

SAMUEL UMTITI

Barcelona are eager reach a decision over Samuel Umtiti’s future within a month as United continue to lurk.

Sport claim the Catalans are focused on concluding the matter quickly as they may have to arrange for a replacement for the Frenchman.

Mourinho has made signing a centre-back to partner Eric Bailly next season a top priority as question marks over Chris Smalling and Phil Jones remain. Umtiti is thought to be the Portuguese’s chief target.

Verdict

There’s no doubt that United would love to sign the France international however there remains the possibility that Umtiti will choose to stay at Barcelona where he is guaranteed trophies. His demands are far beyond what the club are prepared to offer but perhaps a compromise could yet be reached.
