    FERNANDO TORRES

A new adventure awaits the legendary striker this summer after he decided to end his latest stint at boyhood club Atletico Madrid and a move to Major League Soccer could await, according to MLSsoccer.com.

Chicago Fire are reported to own the ‘discovery rights’ – they’ve filed a claim to the league’s head office about interest – and have declared their desire to sign him.

The 34-year-old has made only three La Liga starts this season and is targeting a fresh challenge in the United States or China.

    ANDRE GOMES

It looks like a London battle is set to take place this summer to buy maligned and unsettled midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona.

Gomes, 24, has failed to impress at Camp Nou since a €35 million (Dh158.7m) move from Valencia in summer 2016. This has led to an opening for West Ham and Tottenham to reignite interest in the Portugal international, according to SPORT.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly enamoured by the player’s versatility. The Hammers already failed in a bid to buy him last year.

    GARETH BALE

It’s been a tough season for the Wales forward at Real Madrid, but the Daily Mail reports he has no intention of exiting any time soon.

Bale, 28, was taken off at half-time of Wednesday’s epic Champions League triumph against Juventus to deal another blow to his relationship with head coach Zinedine Zidane. This followed him being left out for many major fixtures this term.

Yet, the ex-Tottenham superstar is rumoured to still think there is no better place for him than Santiago Bernabeu.
