LUCAS VAZQUEZ

Jurgen Klopp is hoping to bring the Spanish attacker to Anfield this summer, reports the Sun.

The 26-year-old has netted eight goals and provided eight assists in all competitions this term.

However, he has started just 13 La Liga games and is said to want more game time at the Bernabeu.

And according to the English news outlet, Klopp is desperate to land the €60 m (Dh 272.1m) forward who has pace to burn, willingness to work back and fits perfectly into the Reds counter-pressing system.

MATTEO DARMIAN

Juventus will sign Matteo Darmian from Manchester United during the summer, Tuttosport reports.

The Italy international, who has fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho this term, will join the Serie A champions at the end of the season. Massimiliano Allegri is seeking a replacement for 34-year-old Stephan Lichtsteiner who’s contract is due to expire in June.

Darmian, who turns 29 in December, has played only played once since the 3-1 win over Arsenal on December 2.

KIERAN TIERNEY

Manchester United are ramping up plans to recruit a new left-back and Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney will come under their gaze in Sunday’s Old Firm derby, according to the Daily Mail.

With Luke Shaw persona non grata at Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho is keen on seeing whether the Scotland international can solve his problem position.

A scout will be posted at Hampden Park to run the rule over Tierney, 20, in the Scottish Cup semi-finals against bitter rivals Rangers.

DANNY DRINKWATER

Frustrations about a lack of playing time at Chelsea have alerted London rivals West Ham to Drinkwater’s availability.

The Sun reports that the England international is seeking a fresh challenge after starting just five times in the Premier League since last summer’s switch from Leicester.

The Hammers now look safe in the top flight and the 28-year-old features highly in their plans for a better 2018/19 campaign. Chelsea are unlikely to offer much resistance to his sale across the capital.

FERNANDO TORRES

A new adventure awaits the legendary striker this summer after he decided to end his latest stint at boyhood club Atletico Madrid and a move to Major League Soccer could await, according to MLSsoccer.com.

Chicago Fire are reported to own the ‘discovery rights’ – they’ve filed a claim to the league’s head office about interest – and have declared their desire to sign him.

The 34-year-old has made only three La Liga starts this season and is targeting a fresh challenge in the United States or China.

ANDRE GOMES

It looks like a London battle is set to take place this summer to buy maligned and unsettled midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona.

Gomes, 24, has failed to impress at Camp Nou since a €35 million (Dh158.7m) move from Valencia in summer 2016. This has led to an opening for West Ham and Tottenham to reignite interest in the Portugal international, according to SPORT.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly enamoured by the player’s versatility. The Hammers already failed in a bid to buy him last year.

GARETH BALE

It’s been a tough season for the Wales forward at Real Madrid, but the Daily Mail reports he has no intention of exiting any time soon.

Bale, 28, was taken off at half-time of Wednesday’s epic Champions League triumph against Juventus to deal another blow to his relationship with head coach Zinedine Zidane. This followed him being left out for many major fixtures this term.

Yet, the ex-Tottenham superstar is rumoured to still think there is no better place for him than Santiago Bernabeu.
