  • Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

    LUKA MODRIC

Luka Modric has left open the possibility of a future move to join Zlatan Ibrahimovic in MLS if he is unable to finish his career with Real Madrid, SVT Sport reports.

The 32-year-old Croatian international is nearing the end of his sixth season in La Liga, having joined from Tottenham in 2012.

With Zinedine Zidane set for an overhaul of his squad at the end of the season, the Croatian international could be tempted by a move to America where he would bring buckets of experience to a developing league.

    CLEMENT LENGLET

Manchester United have put the highly-rated Sevilla centre-half on their summer hit list, the Sun claims.

The 22-year-old impressed in Sevilla’s win over United in the Champions League quarter-finals last month and scouts have been sent to Spain to monitor the French U-21 international.

With Jose Mourinho set for an overhaul of his side this summer, Lenglet could be available for £20million and would be a serious addition to a creaking defence that has seen Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling struggle for form in recent months.

    WILFRIED ZAHA

The in-form Crystal Palace striker is set to snub any potential suitors by committing his long-term future at Selhurst Park, the Independent reports.

The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form for Roy Hodgson’s side this season and has been linked with moves to Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Ivorian showed his class in last weekend’s 3-2 win over Brighton, scoring twice during a 30-minute spell to further ease relegation fears for the Eagles.

Zaha, who has four years to run on his current contract in south London, has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 22 league matches.
