  • Though the summer transfer window is still a couple of months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    FRED

The Red Devils are tracking the Shakhtar Donetsk star, who has previously been linked with rivals Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho’s planning for next season has already begun in earnest and the 25-year-old Brazil star has been touted as a man to bolster the ranks in midfield, with Marouane Fellaini just one of several players who is likely to leave.

The Ukrainian side are determined to keep hold of Fred but could be resigned to losing him if United exercise their financial muscle with a bid in the region of £50m (Dh256m).

Indeed, the Premier League side have apparently already started initial talks with the player’s representatives.

    JAN OBLAK

Liverpool are set to test Atletico Madrid‘s resolve over their star goalkeeper this summer, according to Talksport.

The Spanish club were apparently in talks with the Slovenian to extend his current deal – which expires in 2021 – and give the 25-year-old new lucrative terms.

However, discussions have reportedly broken down and the Reds could capitalise as they look for a new man between the sticks to rival current No.1 Loris Karius.

Wanda Metropolitano star Oblak has a release clause of £87.5million (Dh448m) and that price tag seemingly won’t be out of Liverpool’s reach as Jurgen Klopp’s men prepare for a big spending spree.

    Star between the sticks: Oblak.
