    MATTHIJS DE LIGT

Manchester City are lining up a £50m (Dh 248.5m) bid for the Ajax star, reports the Mirror. The 18-year-old is considered one of the best defensive prospects in world football – and has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Barcelona are believed to be hot favourites to land his signature, but Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City have been all been linked with the Dutchman.

    ANTHONY MARTIAL

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all monitoring the Frenchman’s situation at Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. Jose Mourinho has appeared to lose faith in the 22-year-old who has started 18 out of 30 Premier League matches this campaign. The Portuguese boss was critical of the French international after his disappointing display in the defeat to Brighton on Friday. With his contract to expire at the end of next season, United are thought to be open to selling Martial.

The Leicester star is set to snub Manchester City to join Arsenal this summer, the Express claims. The Algerian international was on the cusp of signing for the Sky Blues in January but Leicester rejected Pep Guardiola’s £50m (Dh 248.5m) offer for the 27-year-old. While the City move interested him, it is believed he wants to move closer to London where he owns a house and has family living in the capital. However, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can fork out over £60m (Dh 298.3m) for the playmaker. Tottenham and Chelsea remain alternative options.
