Across the world of football, there is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

    JAMIE VARDY

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have lined up the Foxes hitman as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann, according to The Mirror.

Diego Simeone’s men are all but resigned to losing their French superstar to Barcelona this summer and have moved quickly to identify England frontman Vardy as the man who could fill that void.

Leicester are currently in talks to extend the 31-year-old’s contract, which expires at the end of the next season – though, there is unlikely to be any movement on that front until after the World Cup in Russia.

Having triumphed in the Europa League final last week, Atleti are looking to kick-on again and see Vardy as the perfect foil for the powerful Diego Costa.

    HIRVING LOZANO

Valencia have edged ahead of Everton in the race to land the PSV winger, The Sunday Mirror reports.

The Spanish giants have held tentative talks with the 22-year-old’s representatives following his stunning debut season in the Eredivisie, in which he netted 17 goals in 29 appearances to help the club land the title.

Although the Mexican will soon be focused on the World Cup with his country, Los Che are still hopeful a big-money offer at the start of next month’s transfer window could tempt the Dutch club to sell him.

Meanwhile, the Toffees – who recently appointed Marcel Brands as their Director of Football – are hoping to tap into his contacts book to try and muster up a deal for Lozano given Brands previously worked as a Technical Director with the Red and Whites.

    FLORIAN THAUVIN

Marseille will resist any huge offers for their star winger should they arrive in the close season, SFR Sport reports.

The France international, who flopped at Newcastle during the 2015-16 campaign, has enjoyed a resurgence at the Europa League finalists and is set to star for Didier Deschamps’ men in Russia.

At just 25, Thauvin is beginning to hit the peak of his powers and has proved many doubters wrong – but admitted his move to the Premier League three years ago came too early for him.

The former Bastia prodigy enjoyed a stunning season for the Olympians, netting 26 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions.
