    JOE HART

Manchester United have lined up a shock move for the former Manchester City goalkeeper, according to the Sun.

The experienced shot-stopper spent this past season on loan at West Ham but did not do enough to convince Gareth Southgate to select him in his England squad for the World Cup finals in Russia.

The Red Devils are on the lookout for a new No.2 to provide cover for undisputed first choice star David de Gea.

With Sergio Romero likely to move on this summer, Hart, who has one year left on his City deal, is set to be available on the cheap and is surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

It does though remain to be seen whether he would want to risk his status at the Sky Blues and move to their eternal rivals.

    SOKRATIS PAPASTATHOPOULOS

Arsenal are closing in on a deal for the Borussia Dortmund defender, according to the Daily Mail.

New boss Unai Emery has identified the Greek centre-back as the man to strengthen the Gunners’ backline, though the north London club do face competition from Manchester United for the 29-year-old.

Papastathopoulos is set to be available for around £15 million (Dh73m) and the Bundesliga giants are happy to cash in on his services, given the former AC Milan star’s contract expires in the summer of 2019.

Emery is hoping the experienced stalwart can help cover for Laurent Koscielny, who is set to be sidelined until at least December with a knee ligament injury.

    SERGIO RICO

The Gunners are set to be busy during the summer transfer window and have lined up the Sevilla goalkeeper as the man to succeed Petr Cech.

Initially, Bayer Leverkusen star Bernd Leno was touted as the man to replace veteran Czech, however, talks have slowed – forcing Arsenal to turn to other options.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, 24-year-old Rico is set for talks with the Premier League side after an impressive campaign for the Andalusian outfit.

He kept 13 shut-outs in 40 appearances for the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan club in all competitions.
