    MAURO ICARDI

Chelsea are set to pounce on the Inter forward as soon as Maurizio Sarri is unveiled to succeed Antonio Conte, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Inter captain is one of the most talented centre-forwards in the world and has been linked with Manchester United and Barcelona.

The 25-year-old, who is under contract until 2021, would be a stunning signing for the Blues having scored 110 goals in 190 appearances in Serie A.

    JORDI ALBA

Manchester United and Chelsea have entered the race to sign the Barcelona star, Sport claims.

The 29-year-old, who still has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou, has reportedly grown frustrated over a lack of movement over an extension to his current deal.

The left-back was a sterling presence for Ernesto Valverde’s side this season as they romped to yet another La Liga title.

And Alba will be hoping to carry his strong form for Spain at the World Cup next month as La Roja go in search of a second title.

    DIOGO DALOT

Manchester United are close to signing Porto right-back Diogo Dalot, the Daily Mail reports.

The paper says the 19-year-old has a buy-out clause of £17.4million, with the club expected to offset the deal with Matteo Darmian’s £11.5million sale to Juventus.

United are said to be keen on landing a right-back to provide competition for Antonio Valencia who turns 33 in August.

The Portuguese U-21 international can also play on the left and would bolster Jose Mourinho’s defensive options.
