    DAVID DE GEA

The Spaniard has agreed a new five-year deal with Manchester United, according to Manchester Evening News.

The 26-year-old endured a rough night in Le Roja’s 3-3 draw against Portugal in the World Cup opener, but has reportedly committed to the Premier League side, ending Real Madrid’s ambitions of signing him this summer.

The Champions League winners were hoping to bring De Gea back to Spain, with president Florentino Perez set to pay a fee in excess of £100m (Dh487m) to take him to the Bernabeu.

Widely considered as the best goalkeeper in the world, De Gea kept 18 clean sheets for the Red Devils last term, culminating in being awarded the Golden Glove Award.

His new deal is expected to keep him in Manchester until 2023.

    N’GOLO KANTE

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to table a mammoth £90 million (Dh439m) bid for the Chelsea star, according to the Mirror.

The French publication are reporting that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen to find a long-term successor to Thiago Motta who retired last month.

Kante is believed to be Thomas Tuchel’s key candidate for the role – with the French international attracted to the option of being back in his homeland.

The 27-year-old, who is currently on World Cup duty, provided just one assist in 48 appearances last term for the West London side.
