    DRIES MERTENS

Maurizio Sarri has made the Belgian star his primary target if he takes the reins at Chelsea this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The Blues are inching closer to the appointment of Sarri as successor to Antonio Conte, and wants the 31-year-old to come to Stamford Bridge along with him.

Mertens scored 23 goals and provided eight assists in 48 matches in all competitions as the Partenopei finished second to Juventus in Serie A last term.

The former PSV attacker already has lucrative offers from China, Schalke and Atletico Madrid, but may be enticed to team up with compatriot Eden Hazard at the west London club.

    JACK WILSHERE

Everton, Southampton and Crystal Palace have been tipped as possible destinations for the England midfielder after he called time on his 17-year Arsenal career, according to The Times.

The 26-year-old cited “purely footballing reasons” for his decision to leave the Gunners after revealing new head coach Unai Emery told him he would not play a key role in his plans for next season.

The midfielder made 197 Arsenal appearances since making his debut as a 16-year-old in 2008.
