Already there is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking. Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.
JOSE MARIA CALLEJON
With the announcement of Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea’s new manager rumoured to be days away, up to four players are said to be accompanying him to West London including Jose Maria Callejon, according to The Express.
The Spanish winger netted 10 goals and provided 15 assists last term for Napoli.
Callejon is a graduate of Real Madrid’s youth academy and returned to the club in 2011 before signing for Napoli two years later.
Another player mooted to be packing his bags with Callejon, this time by The Mirror, is defender Raul Albiol.
The veteran Spaniard is seen as a cut-price addition to the ranks with a release clause of just GBP5.3 million but at 32 years young he may find the going a bit tough in the Premier League.
Supposedly the Blues are not the only people interested in Albiol’s services with Villareal lining up a bid to bring him to La Liga.
Sarri is also lining up some prospects from other clubs with Inter Milan’s Uruguay midfielder Matias Vecino high on his wish-list according to the Daily Star.
26-year-old Vecino, who is currently representing Uruguay at the World Cup, joined Inter from Fiorentina just last year and produced some impressive performances during his debut season.
Technically proficient and an accurate passer, Vecino is known for his energy and physicality stand 1.89 metres high and weighing 81 kgs.
Roma have announced the signing of teenage forward Justin Kluivert from Ajax for a fee which could rise to €18.75million (£16.5m).
“I’m very happy. I’m at an incredible club, which I like a lot,” he told the club’s official website. “I cannot wait to start.
“I believe that Roma is the ideal team for my growth, which will allow me to play at the highest levels. I think I can do good things here. ”
Kluivert made 56 appearances and scored 13 goals for Ajax since his debut in September 2016, while he has also picked up one senior cap for Holland.
He moves to Roma for an initial €17.25m (£15.2m), with the deal including performance-related clauses of up to €1.5m (£1.3m)
