  • Andros Townsend is set to leave Selhurst Park.

The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

There is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

    ANDROS TOWNSEND

Newcastle are trying to-resign their former winger from Crystal Palace, The Sun reports.

The 26-year-old joined the Selhurst Park club in July 2016 from the Toon following their relegation from the top-flight but Rafa Benitez has always been a keen admirer of his talents.

Matt Richie is set to be moved on this summer, paving the way for Townsend’s return to St James’s Park.

Palace are seeking at least £18 million (Dh87m) for his services, with that being significantly more than the amount they initially signed him for (£13m – Dh63m).

Townsend made 13 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals, during his short stint with Newcastle back in the 2015-16 campaign and instantly became a fans’ favourite.

    LORIS KARIUS

The Liverpool goalkeeper looks set to have a future at Anfield after Roma reportedly priced the Merseysiders out of a move for top target Alisson.

According to The Sun, Jurgen Klopp’s men have ditched plans to sign the Brazil international shot-stopper this summer.

Roma are holding out for at least £65million for his services – more than Liverpool are willing to pay.

It means Karius, who made high-profile errors in May’s Champions League final against Real Madrid, could get a chance to resurrect his Kop career and retain the No.1 jersey.

Liverpool have though also been linked with Stoke City and England man Jack Butland.

Loris Karius continues to receive flak for his Champions League final debacle.
