    MARCO ASENSIO

The Real Madrid star is all set to stay at the Bernabeu next season, according to his agent Horacio Gaggioli.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old in recent times but Los Blancos still believe the versatile attacker has a big future at the club.

Asensio started just half of Real’s La Liga matches last season but is thought to be a key part of new boss Julen Lopetegui’s plans moving forward.

“Marco won’t move, he’ll stay with Real Madrid,” Gaggioli said in an interview with Calciomercato. “He’s improving all the time. Next season I think he’ll be very important in Madrid.”

Asensio was part of Spain’s World Cup squad.

    ALASSANE PLEA

The Nice forward could spurn the chance to make a big move to the Premier League and instead switch to the Bundesliga, the Rheinische Post reports.

Tottenham, West Ham, Everton and Newcastle have all been tracking the 25-year-old hitman, who struck 21 goals last term.

However, it now appears German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach have emerged as favourites to clinch his signature.

Plea, who began his career at Lyon, does not want to pass up the opportunity of regular first-team football.
