  • As the World Cup draws to its conclusion, there’s another way to get your football fix – by keeping your ear to the ground for the latest transfer stories.

There’s a near competitive-football-free month for most of Europe’s clubs – and beyond – to get deals done, and it could spark a mad scramble with the Premier League’s transfer window slamming shut on August 9.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

Let us know your thoughts via Twitter and Facebook.

    DOMAGOJ VIDA

Liverpool have increased their offer to sign the highly-rated Croatia centre-back, according to Fanatik.

The Merseysiders had an initial bid of £16million knocked back for the World Cup defender, who plies his trade at club level with Besiktas.

The Turkish publication carried the news but also suggested the Reds will have to match Besiktas’ valuation of the 29-year-old, which stands at close to £31m.

It remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool want to break the bank for the 29-year-old though the prospect of Vida linking up with fellow countryman Dejan Lovren at the heart of their defence next term is a welcome proposition.

    MALCOM

Inter Milan are in pole position to sign the Bordeaux striker, according to the Times.

The Serie A outfit are reported to have offered €40m to secure the Brazilian’s services. However, Bordeaux are believed to be looking for €50m for the 21-year-old wonderkid – a fee Inter would be unwilling to pay.

The former Corinthians man was one of the mainstays for Bordeaux in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.

As Inter boss Luciano Spalleti looks to strengthen his squad, the ace marksman could inject more class in an already star-studded attack.

    WILFRIED ZAHA

Everton are preparing to launch a fresh bid for the Crystal Palace ace, according to the Daily Star.

The Toffees remain interested in the Ivory Coast forward and are confident of landing the 25-year-old during the summer transfer window.

With the mixed form of Yannick Bolasie, Everton boss Marco Silva is lining up this latest push to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season.

Zaha will cost in excess of £50m and although his contract runs until 2022, Palace are determined to hold on to him.
