The summer transfer window for all international deals is well and truly open!

With the transfer rumours growing in pace and volume during this ‘silly season’, it can be difficult and painstaking to separate the stories of some legitimacy from the rest of the noise.

Fortunately, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to do it for you.

Below, you’ll find some of the latest transfer news churned out of the rumour mill broken down and analysed for your benefit along with our calculated predictions.

KARIM BENZEMA – REAL MADRID TO NAPOLI

The Real Madrid forward has been linked with a move to Napoli, according to Tuttosport.

Why it will happen: The 30-year-old was heavily criticised for below-par performances last season and there is speculation that Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno could replace him this summer.

Why it won’t happen: The Frenchman only signed a new four-year deal last September and is reportedly happy at the Bernabeu.

Prediction: After winning his third successive Champions League title, it looks unlikely Benzema will leave the Spanish capital, especially when he is a central part of a winning team.

    Rating – 3/10

DOMAGOJ VIDA – BESIKTAS TO LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have increased their offer to sign the highly-rated Croatia centre-back, according to Fanatik.

Why it will happen: Vida has impressed at the World Cup alongside current Liverpool star Dejan Lovren, helping Croatia to the final against France. And with Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip failing to shine for the Reds, Jurgen Klopp is set to prepare a bid for the Besiktas player.

Why it won’t happen: At 29 and untested in the Premier League, it’s not a given that Vida would excel in Klopp’s side.

Prediction: It remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool want to break the bank for a player who turns 30 next year, though the prospect of Vida linking up with fellow countryman Lovren at the heart of their defence is a welcome proposition.

    Rating – 6/10

    MALCOM

Inter Milan are in pole position to sign the Bordeaux striker, according to the Times.

Why it will happen: The former Corinthians man was one of the mainstays for Bordeaux in Ligue 1 last season and would be a great addition to Luciano Spalleti’s side.

Why it won’t happen: The Serie A outfit are reported to have offered €40m to secure the Brazilian’s services. However, Bordeaux are believed to be looking for €50m for the 21-year-old wonderkid – a fee Inter would be unwilling to pay.

Prediction: It may rumble on for a bit, but Inter seem like a good fit for Malcom to further his development.
