Miralem Pjanic has long been linked with La Liga giants Barca.

Barcelona will need to come up with an offer between €80-90million to prise Juventus star Miralem Pjanic away from Turin, according to Tuttosport.

On Tuesday, Manchester City had a reported €50m proposal knocked back for the Bosnian midfield ace as Bianconeri value their man at a lot more than that and are in no rush to sell.

Barca have been waiting in the wings but have yet to show their their hand by making a bid for the 28-year-old, who has become a stalwart in Massimiliano Allegri’s side since joining the Serie A side from divisional rivals Roma in the summer of 2016.

It remains to be seen whether Pep Guardiola’s men will follow-up their interest in Pjanic once again while it is also up for debate where the former Lyon man fits into Blaugrana’s congested central midfield area.

Liverpool closing in on Roma keeper Alisson after losing faith in Loris Karius

Liverpool are close to solving their goalkeeping conundrum as reports suggest Roma stopper Alisson is on his way to Anfield in a €75 million deal.

Earlier this summer Jurgen Klopp had backed Loris Karius to bounce back from his errors against Real Madrid in the Champions League final, but his latest howler in a pre-season friendly against Tranmere is likely to be the final straw.

Brazil No1 Alisson had a stellar season in Serie A with Roma, keeping 18 clean sheets – the most in the competition – and becoming the subject of much transfer speculation.

And, according to Sky Italia and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, it would seem that the Reds have pulled the trigger on a mega-money deal.

It is understood that Alisson has already had talks with Klopp and that Roma are confident of replacing the Brazilian with Alphonse Areola, who has lost his place to Gianluigi Buffon at Paris Saint-Germain.

End of the road? Loris Karius.
