Rising star: Christian Pulisic.

Borussia Dortmund playmaker Christian Pulisic is still a target for Real Madrid, The Sun reports.

The 19-year-old USA international has emerged as an alternative option to that of Eden Hazard, with it not be clear whether Chelsea are prepared to sell their star man to Los Blancos.

Pulisic, who is valued at around £60 million (Dh288m), has no shortage of admirers as Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also revealed their interest in the rising star.

Whites president Florentino Perez wants the club to continue their transfer policy of signing fledging youth players, like they have done in the summer window with the acquisitions of Brazilian Vinicius Junior and 22-year-old full-back Alvaro Odriozola from Real Sociedad.

Leading light: Harry Maguire enjoyed a spectacular World Cup with England.

Harry Maguire has revealed his desire to “play at the highest level” amid speculation Manchester United want to sign him, The Sun reports.

The colossal Leicester centre-back, who enjoyed a stellar World Cup campaign at the heart of Gareth Southgate’s England defence, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Although the 25-year-old has not declared he wants to leave the Foxes, the lure of Champions League football and a bigger contract with one of the established top six Premier League clubs could prove too good to turn down.

Maguire arrived at Leicester from Hull last summer for just £12million (Dh57m) but is now thought to be worth £65m (Dh312m).

James enjoyed a productive debut season with Bayern.

James Rodriguez has revealed he is happy at Bayern Munich amid speculation Real Madrid could bring him back to the Bernabeu this summer.

It has been suggested the Colombian star, who enjoyed a stellar first season with the Bavarians after arriving on a two-year loan agreement last summer, might return to Los Blancos with talk thatWhites president Florentino Perez wants to renegotiate that deal.

New boss Julen Lopetegui, according to reports in Spain, is apparently keen to have the 27-year-old at his disposal ahead of the upcoming La Liga campaign.

However, Bayern are not set to budge and will retain the attacker’s services, given they have a purchase agreement in place to sign him permanently in the summer of 2019.

And Rodriguez, who contributed seven goals and 11 assists in the Bundesliga last term, seems to agree – telling Colombian TV programme ‘The Suso Show’ that he is enjoying life in Germany.
