One thing is for certain – AC Milan are on the hunt for a striker this summer. Now Alvaro Morata has thrown his hat into the ring, with reports claiming that the misfiring Chelsea striker is keen on a move.
It is understood by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio – a usually reliable source – that the Rossoneri’s news sporting director Leonardo has already touched base with Morata’s advisors.
Chelsea will not give the Spain forward up easily, however. They are quoting between €65 and €70 million, approximately the price they paid to pluck him for Real Madrid 12 months ago.
But Morata is just one of many options being sounded out by Milan, with Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain and Monaco marksman Radamel Falcao all still in the frame. Nikola Kalinic is likely to be the fall guy – with Atletico Madrid interested.
