  • The agent of Thibaut Courtois has revealed that there is an offer from Real Madrid ready for Chelsea to accept – but that the Blues are still intent on keeping his client at Stamford Bridge.

Courtois has just one year left on his contract, meaning Chelsea must act now if they are to cash in on their wantaway keeper.

And in an exclusive interview with The Sun, the Belgian’s agent Christophe Henrotay made clear in no uncertain terms that Courtois has his heart set on a move back to Madrid.

The 26-year-old had spent three years on loan there with Atletico and his children also reside in the Spanish capital.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri suggested earlier his week that a move would be ‘up to him’ but Henrotay insists the only stumbling block remains the club’s refusal to sell.

“I have been reading everywhere that Chelsea are saying it is up to Thibaut, but he has made it clear to the club that the best option for him is to move to Madrid,” said Henrotay.

“For him this is a big decision because he wants to be near his family, and there is an offer in place for Chelsea to accept.”
