  • Skriniar has no intention of leaving Inter.

Milan Skriniar says his future is in Inter Milan’s hands after admitting he is flattered by Manchester United’s interest.

The 23-year-old cemented himself as one of the world’s best talents at centre-back after a superb season with Inter in 2017/18 following a move from Sampdoria, at times outplaying senior partner Miranda.

Unsurprisingly his form has turned the heads of Europe’s elite, and with United desperate for defensive reinforcements, Skriniar could be the subject of a bid sooner rather than later.

The Slovakia international is in no rush to move on from Serie A but a contract extension is yet to be thrashed out.

At the moment it could well take a crazy bid for Inter to sell their prized asset, though Skriniar, in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, was happy to rule out ever moving to another Italian club.

“Man United? It’s nice to know that you are appreciated by other big clubs in Europe but I’ve never thought to leave the club,” said Skriniar. “The future depends on the club and I accept whatever they decide.

“New contract? My agent is in talks with chiefs of the club, it’s not done yet, let’s see what happens. Juve or AC Milan? No, in Italy I will only play for Inter.”
