  • Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of centre-back Yerry Mina.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp over the last few weeks, and although Everton were among the initial suitors, it seemed Manchester United had jumped ahead of them in the queue for the Colombian.

Barcelona’s refusal to move from their valuation of £35million was also said to be a sticking point for the Toffees.

However, according to Goal, the two clubs have now agreed a deal for a £29million transfer, despite late interest from Lyon for a player who made just six appearances for Blaugrana last term, but starred at the World Cup for Colombia.

Mina returned to training with the Catalan side on Monday, though it seems he is now headed towards the exit door, just six months after arriving at the club.
