  • Adama Traore of Middlesbrough (r) is off to Wolves but Jack Grealish of Aston Villa (l) is not going to Spurs

Wolves have signed Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore for an undisclosed fee, reported to be a club-record £18m.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Molineux after the Barcelona academy graduate excelled in Boro’s Championship campaign last season.

Traore made 71 appearances in two seasons at the Riverside, having joined from Aston Villa in 2016.

Wolves were also reported to be on the verge of signing Anderlecht’s Belgium midfielder Leander Dendoncker, pending a deadline day medical.

Traore was a team-mate of Jack Grealish at Villa Park, where the playmaker is poised to stay amid interest from Tottenham.

The 22-year-old is disappointed not to be given the option of a move to north London ahead of the deadline but will not hand in a transfer request, Press Association Sport understands.

In other latest news, Fulham vice chairman and director of football operations Tony Khan has said highly-rated teenager Ryan Sessegnon is not going anywhere.

Bournemouth have allowed left-back Brad Smith and midfielder Emerson Hyndman to join the Seattle Sounders and Hibernian on loan respectively.

Hyndman helps fill the void left by John McGinn’s move to Aston Villa, while Hibs have signed Thomas Agyepong on loan from Manchester City, subject to obtaining a UK visa.

Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann will spend the 2018-19 season on loan at Kilmarnock and Cardiff goalkeeper Lee Camp has joined Birmingham on a free transfer.

West Ham’s Jordan Hugill has joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan, while Frank Lampard continues to build at Derby.

The Rams fought off competition from Middlesbrough and Sheffield United to land Martyn Waghorn for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £5m.

Lampard also completed a deal for Huddersfield defender Scott Malone, who has signed a three-year deal at Derby. Right-back Jordan Williams has also left the Terriers, joining League One side Barnsley.

Premier League clubs have until 17:00 (20:00 UAE time) on Thursday to push through deals before the transfer window close.
