Chelsea's main man: Eden Hazard.

Chelsea wizard Eden Hazard might not ever be destined for Real Madrid, according to the player’s father.

The Blues’ mercurial No10 has long since been linked with the Bernabeu and has himself made no secret of the fact he would love to wear the Los Blancos jersey.

But, with the La Liga transfer window deadline fast approaching on August 31, it appears unlikely the 27-year-old will move to the Whites.

Indeed, Hazard’s father, Thierry, feels his son’s chances of switching to the Spanish capital might be over after a previous deal broke down between club and player.

“I can’t say why it did not go through (before),” he said in an interview with Hiet Nieuwsblad.

“Not because I don’t want to, because I don’t know. Maybe they have a policy where they want to give the youth a chance. Eden will have one more year on his contract next summer, but he may never end up in Madrid.”

Barcelona have announced the 18-man squad to travel to Real Valladolid.

Rafinha Alcantara and Paco Alcacer however are not included while Thomas Vermaelen is also left out.

The trio are said to be omitted for technical reasons. In the cases of Rafinha and Alcacer, the duo are reportedly set to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Jasper Cillessen, Denis Suarez, Samper and Carlos Alena are also excluded.

New signing Malcom, who could debut in the La Liga and Munir have been named in the squad.

Borussia Dortmund are closing in on the signing of Paco Alcacer from Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The German club are set to secure the Spaniard on an initial loan deal, with an option to buy, as they look to strengthen their forward line.

The former Valencia and Getafe forward has played second fiddle to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez over the course of his two campaigns to date at the Camp Nou, and is seeking a new challenge away from the club.

The 24-year-old, who made 13 appearances for Spain between 2014 and 2016, has been told by boss Ernesto Valverde that he does not feature in his plans for the new season.
