Real Madrid are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara as they look to replace Mateo Kovacic, claims Sky Germany.

The Spanish international has been lined up for a switch to Los Blancos, with Julen Lopetegui’s midfield short of cover following Kovacic’s loan move to Chelsea.

The 27-year-old is likely to cost €50 million (Dh 209.7) as the Champions League winners bid to reach an agreement with Bayern for the former Barcelona star.

Real Betis remain favourites to sign Rafinha from Barcelona before the end of the transfer window, according to Sport.

The Catlan giants are willing to offload the Brazilian midfielder for €25 million, a fee which remains a sticking point for Betis.

Benfica are also prepared to meet the asking price for the 25-year-old, who only managed 48 appearances during his six years at the Camp Nou.

PSG are set to offer £100 million to Tottenham for star man Christian Eriksen, the Express reports.

The Danish midfielder has been on Real Madrid and Barcelona’s radar all summer, but now the Ligue 1 champions have emerged as the club most likely to prepare a bid for his services.

The Parisiens are keen to make one more signing before the end of the transfer window on August 31.

Eriksen, 26, has been in talks over a contract extension at Spurs, which currently has two years remaining.

If the talisman departs London for Paris, Mauricio Pochettino would lose one of his most inspirational players.
