  • Paris Saint-Germain are threatening to report Barcelona to FIFA over the La Liga club’s approach for midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The Frenchman, who withdrew from this summer’s World Cup squad that went on to win the trophy after being named only as a standby, has less than 12 months left on his contract with PSG.

Barca are understood to have contacted PSG over a move this summer, with technical director Eric Abidal and general manager Pep Segura having flown to Paris.

However, the Ligue 1 champions are convinced that Barca and Rabiot have already agreed a deal for the player to move to Spain next summer once his contract expires.

As such, PSG are ready to report their rivals to FIFA, a threat that has infuriated Barcelona.

The Spanish club are said to believe that PSG’s reported interest in La Blaugrana midfielder Ivan Rakitic is a retaliatory move to Barca’s Rabiot approach.

Tensions between both clubs have been at a high following Neymar‘s world-record transfer from Barca to PSG last summer.
