Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri says it is up to Tammy Abraham if the striker makes a loan move on Friday.

The 20-year-old England international, who spent last season at Swansea, has been linked with a season-long loan move to Aston Villa in the Championship.

Sarri, speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth, said: “I am not able to guarantee to him a spot at the moment. But if he wants to remain, I’m very, very happy with him.

“He’s very young for a striker. He can improve more. I think it’s up to him.”

World-class schemer: Luka Modric.

Fresh from being named the 2017-18 UEFA Player of the Year award winner ahead of former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric has reiterated his desire to stay at the Bernabeu.

The Croatian World Cup finalist has been at the epicentre of widespread speculation this summer, linking him with a move to Inter Milan.

Indeed, Whites club president Florentino Perez lodged a complaint to FIFA as he felt the Italian giants had approached the 32-year-old playmaker illegally.

However, don’t expect Modric to go anywhere in the near future.

“I’m not happy… I’m extremely happy at Real Madrid and I want to continue at this club for several years,” Modric said at the awards bash in Monaco on Thursday night.

The former Tottenham star’s Bernabeu deal runs until 2020 but he is expected to be handed fresh and more lucrative terms imminently by his current employers.

Two of Leicester’s Premier League winners are expected to leave the King Power ahead of the international transfer window closing, the Leicester Mercury reports. Right-back Danny Simpson and midfielder Andy King are said to be allowed to leave and have not yet featured for the Foxes this season.

Sandro Ramirez has left Everton and joined Real Sociedad on loan. The striker is keen on a permanent move back to his home country, but the Goodison Park club say there is no automatic option to buy.

Serbian winger Lazar Markovic is heading for the Anfield exit door after spending the last three seasons on loan, with Greek side PAOK among those interested, according to the Daily Mirror.

Another set to leave Liverpool is Divock Origi, with the Daily Mail reporting he is in talks with a number of interested clubs, including Besiktas.

Liverpool target Nabil Fekir was offered to Chelsea in the summer by Lyon, but the Stamford Bridge side turned down the chance to sign the 25-year-old, the Daily Mail says.
