  • Children can practice their football skills alongside improving their English.

Aston Villa coaches will run the club’s first-ever training camp from March 27 until April 7, 2016.

The Premier League club’s coaching camp will cater for participants aged 5-18. As well as first-class training, boys and girls will receive an official Aston Villa certificate of participation and club t-shirt.

Starspeaking CEO and member of the Oxford University Education society, Jessie Venegas, will also be joining the coaches in order to teach English to the children, which will help them both on and off the field.

Cobus Steyn, owner of UAE orgnaiser Trinity Sports, is hoping that the opportunity to attend an Aston Villa Soccer School, while also learning English, will encourage participants to take a more active role in the world of football and the opportunities this could bring.

The orhanisers’ vision is to bring more high quality coaches from abroad for the benefit of the young people in Sharjah.

“I really like the camp,” Abdullah Mustafa from Wesgreen International School said after Sunday’s opening session. “It is the best football camp I have ever been to because of the warm-ups and training. It’s cool to have professional coaches from the UK.”
