  • Ahead of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, the trophy will be going on tour to six countries and will be paying a visit to the UAE in October.

The 16-team tournament, which takes place every four years, will be staged in Australia between January 9 and 31.

But before the teams head Down Under, fans will get the chance to see the trophy up close when it goes on tour at the end of September.

The trophy will begin its tour in China on September 26 until October 8 before heading to Qatar on October 23 until October 25.

From Qatar, the trophy will come to the UAE on October 30 for two days before it continues its whistle-stop tour to South Korea on November 14-16.

The trophy will then head to Japan – the current holders – on November 21-23 and will conclude its tour in Australia where it will spend 10 days beginning December 1.

UAE fans will hope their team will also be able to get their hands on the trophy, and expectations are high for Mahdi Ali's men. The Whites are ranked sixth in Asia and are the reigning Gulf Cup of Nations champions.
