Best of Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi competitions come together for Youth Champions Cup

    It’s Just Football and PASS Abu Dhabi came together to put on the Youth Champions Cup.

    The tournament brought together the best youth football teams from Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi across eight age groups to see who would be crowned the champions of champions.

    With 32 teams attending and children ranging from the ages of six-16, some of the best young footballers in the country were on show. The top-two teams from each age group of the Abu Dhabi Youth League met with their compatriots from the Jebel Ali Youth League all in one day, with more than 1,000 people in attendance at Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence.

    The Abu Dhabi Youth League came away with bragging rights this time around, with seven of their teams winning out of the eight age groups.

    A biannual event, the Youth Champions Cup, held last Sunday, encompasses more than 1,500 players from both leagues from ages seven through to 16 making it the biggest organised youth football league in the Middle East.

    In the Under-8s, City FS Select defeated Desert Rangers in the final. For the U-9s, ICS Future Academy edged out Soccer Kids Dubai.

    In the U-10s and U-11s, PASS Masters beat their rivals from City FS Select both times.

    The U-12s was won by DG Pro FC, with City FS Select gaining another second place.

    In the U-14 Division 1, City FS Select got the better of GoPro. Zayed Lions made GC United runners-up in Division 2.

    Abu Dhabi Thistle came away with the honours in U-16s. GC United were second.
