This year’s Champions League semi-finals will no doubt leave Xabi Alonso with a bittersweet feeling.
The Spanish midfielder is a legend at three different clubs, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, all three of whom are in the semi-finals.
Madrid and Bayern are playing each other, while there’s a chance that Liverpool will face one of the other two in the final, if they get past Roma. It’s a draw that has divided Alonso loyalties.
