  • No time to rest: Dzemaili (c) insists Switzerland have down their homework on Honduras.

Switzerland have a chance to put right their dramatic failure of 2010 today when they again face bogey team Honduras for a place in the World Cup knock-outs.

The situation is eerily similar to four years ago, when the Swiss were in contention for the last 16 but missed out when they drew their last group game with the Central American minnows.

Midfielder Blerim Dzemaili said Switzerland would be taking nothing for granted when they play in steamy Manaus.

“Everyone can nurture big dreams, but first we have to do a little homework and that is to beat Honduras,” he said.

Switzerland currently trail Ecuador on goal difference. If France beat Ecuador, Switzerland need a point from Honduras to qualify. But if Ecuador win, Switzerland must better their rivals result to advance.

    LIKELY LINE-UPS

Honduras (4-4-2): Valladares; Beckeles, Bernardez, Figueroa, J. Garcia; O. Garcia, Palacios, Garrido, Espinoza; Bengtson, Costly

Switzerland (4-2-3-1): Benaglio; Lichtsteiner, Djourou, Senderos, Rodriguez; Inler, Dzemaili; Mehmedi, Xhaka, Shaqiri; Drmic

    Stadium: Arena Amazonia, Manaus
    Referee: Nestor Pitana (ARG)
    Kick-off: Tonight, 00:00 (+1)

    SPORT360 PREDICTION

The Swiss were brutalised against France, but they should have no problems against the limited Hondurans. Switzerland 2-0 Honduras
