Get ready to paint the capital this weekend at The Color Run, which returns to the UAE with a vibrant new edition set to bring out the masses.
The ‘Happiest 5k on the planet’ will go down at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, March 12, presented by Daman’s ActiveLife.
New additions are also in line for the event, sure to make it as popular as ever.
Participants can capture their colourful moments with Pic2go, a new photography service that allows downloads of personal images taken at the run by using special barcodes to recognise bib numbers.
Just log in to www.thecolorrun.ae/Abu-Dhabi, type in your desired bib number and all the pictures will be at your fingertips.
Another add for this year are the race packs featuring shiny t-shirts and temporary tattoos for Color Runners to wear as they go through the course, consisting of five colour stations and the new multi-colour Rainbow Road.
Since arriving to the UAE in 2013, The Color Run has been a mainstay in the region’s health and fitness calendar, drawing more than 12,000 people in the 2015 event held in Dubai.

Runners will be led from the starting line by Omar Nour, Egypt’s first professional triathlete and ambassador of Daman’s ActiveLife, along with mascot Runicorn.

A limited number of tickets, costing Dh140, still remain for the event, but are going quickly and could be sold out soon.
