If you think you have the football chops to earn a trip to play in the United Kingdom, showcase your skills in the UAE Corporate Cup of Soccer.
The tournament is a qualifier for the ninth World Corporate Cup of Soccer, to be staged at famous Goodison Park – the home of the Premier League football club Everton.
Corporate Games, organisers of the world’s largest multi-sport festivals for businesses, are holding the two full-day qualifying rounds at the Jebel Ali Center of Excellence in Dubai on Friday, April 29, and then at the Armed Forces Club, Abu Dhabi on Saturday, April 30.
Matches, which are open to companies, universities and organisations, will be played in a 6-a-side format with teams feature squads of eight to players. A final playoff will take place between the two winning teams in each emirate as they battle to be crowned champions and earn an all-expenses-paid trip overseas.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the main sponsor of the event, will also send its top team to the UK along with the victors. Benoit Montin, managing director of Corporate Games, said: “We are very excited to organise the first edition of UAE Corporate Cup of Soccer in the country. This is a one-of-a-kind tournament.

The World Corporate Cup of Soccer will take place from May 20-22, when the winning team will receive four nights inclusive accommodation, a full-branded kit and a guaranteed match at Goodison Park.
