**Note: Since going to print the Beachfest has been postponed to a later date. More information will follow when we have it.**

Gladiators BeachFest will hit Dubai’s Kite Beach, located behind Sunset Mall, Friday with a challenging and fun obstacle course.

The event is organised by Corporate Games, who are back with another exciting beach event after the success of the Del Monte Beach Games last year.

Gladiators Challenge have also teamed up with Corporate Games for the imitative with the Dubai Sports Council to promote wellbeing amongst the UAE community.

Everyone is encouraged to come down on the day to give the obstacle course a try.

From climbing to crawling to scaling, the course won’t be a walk in the park. Far from it, actually, with cool elements such as tyre runs, tunnel crawls, wall climbs, a spider web, balance beams, sand bag pick-up, monkey bars and hurdle jumps.

Two unique aspects of the course will have participants testing themselves in the water with sea kayaks and stand-up paddle boards (SUPs).

Entry costs Dh50 and each person will get two attempts to record the best time possible to be eligible for prizes.

Kick up a storm: Test your football skills.

Winners will be awarded across four categories for the top time – men’s, women’s, under 16s and a team classification (average time will be calculated for the number of participants on the team).

The obstacle course won’t be the only thing to enjoy, however.

Yoga will kick-off the day with a morning session at 09:00 with Holistic Dani. Bring your mats and clear your mind before going through the ringer later in the afternoon.

A sports village with free activities will also be open to the public. Try out different sports and pick up a new hobby with offerings from Royal Football Academy, Vapero beach volleyball, Beach Tennis Middle East and Speedminton, along with fitness classes from PACE body coaching and BetterBody4Me.

You can even get involved with pick-up activities such as tug of war, bubble soccer and ultimate Frisbee.

Red Bull has you covered with music throughout the day and some shade in the chill out zones, while Cycle Hub will be exhibiting their FatBikes for riding on the beach.
