The return of summer and hot weather means exercising outdoors is no longer a reliable option, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stay fit by heading inside.
While the triathlon season has come to an end with no local events in sight for the coming months, Talise Fitness has the solution with their unique imitative: an indoor triathlon.
The fourth edition of the popular event will be held at Talise Fitness’ location in Madinat Jumeirah on Friday, June 3, offering competitors across the region a chance to keep their triathlon skills sharp even as the temperature rises.
The one-of-a-kind idea follows the standard Super Sprint Triathlon distance, comprising of a 400 metre (0.25-mile) swim in the indoor pool, a 10 kilometre (6.2- mile) ride on the spin bike and a 2.5km (1.6-mile) treadmill run.
Just like any other triathlon, winners will be decided by who finishes the allotted distance in the fastest time. Up for grabs are great prizes, including Reebok gift vouchers, Talise Spa vouchers, Talise Fitness memberships, High Altitude guest passes and gift vouchers from MEFITPRO.

Previous editions have seen world champion triathletes such as Till Schramm take part. The entry fee is Dh200 per person for non-members and Dh150 for Talise Fitness members, while kids aged 16 and up can register for Dh100.
