Whether you want to refine your skills or learn how to play the sport, Arabian Ranches Golf Club is the place to visit thanks to their Academy Indoor Studio.
The facility boasts a wide range of impressive technology features, including how to improve your swing as well as the Trackman Performance Studio which provides data analysis on the club and ball, to enhance your overall game.
Another plus point is you can test it out for yourself by playing nine holes on some of the world’s best courses.
“The Academy Indoor Studio was launched primarily to provide our golfers with a comfortable summer environment to develop their golf games in the extreme temperatures of Dubai,” said Elliott Gray, general manager of Arabian Ranches Golf Club.
“It also allows our professionals an opportunity to work with players all summer and detail progress with reports, videos and data that clearly shows the path of progression they are on.”
He added: “Golfers can expect to learn and see evidence of improvement with the detailed information available from Trackman Launch Monitor and V1 Video Coaching, whilst The Studio caters for every level of golfer who is keen to improve.
“Furthermore, the set-up of the room allows us to tailor sessions for scratch level players all the way up to the complete beginners, ensuring the golfer gets the most benefit for their individual needs.”
There are different sessions to choose from. Individual classes (that last 45 minutes) with a Senior Golf Professional cost Dh325 for members and Dh380 for non-members. Alternatively, to be taught by a Teaching Professional, it costs Dh295 for members and Dh345 for non-members.
And if you want to learn with a friend, shared classes are also available. One hour classes for two people cost Dh450 while it’s Dh1,900 for five sessions.
On top of that, the club also have their Summer Development Package. Ranging between Dh1,770 and Dh2,2280, this option will see you receive five 45-minute lessons plus one-and-a-half-hour indoor or outdoor playing classes and access to the Academy and par 3 course.
Gray insists there’s plenty of advantages by using the indoor studio. “People can improve all aspects of their game during summer and be in great shape for the winter season with the help of our coaching professionals,” he said.
“Golfers can also see whether they are improving their skills and more importantly after revisiting they can see if they are retaining their skills.
He added: “The advantages of using this is endless. With our indoor putting surface we can improve putting performance and with our Slow Motion cameras we can highlight small details of improvement for every level of golfer.
“The Academy Indoor Studio at Arabian Ranches simply offers each and every golfer a platform to improve their game.”
There’s still nearly a month remaining of indoor activities at Dubai Sports World and kids can take advantage by joining any one of the many summer camps available.

KAFO Academy, meanwhile, is run by Frederic Kanoute, two-time African Footballer of the Year. Sessions last three hours daily, with prices at Dh125 per day, Dh500 for a week and Dh1,800 for a month.
Go from the pitch to the blacktop with Hoops Basketball Academy and get ready to score buckets.

Finally, wrestling fans don’t have to be resigned to just watching on TV as they can finally get in the ring and experience it themselves.
Dubai Pro Wrestling Academy, the first and only pro-wrestling academy in the UAE, will teach wrestling in a fun, but safe environment.
The classes, open to ages five and older, run from Sunday to Thursday and cost Dh100 per hour or Dh750 for 10 sessions.
Bull & Roo added Brunswick to its stable earlier this year, a sporting ‘hang out’ that saw the company notch its first fully licensed bar to the hugely successful Tom & Serg, The Sum of Us and Common Grounds offerings across Dubai.
Full-name Brunswick Sports Club, the bar is geared up to resemble a Melbourne sports bar of the same ilk co-founder Tom Arnel frequented back home.
It’s the perfect place for sports lovers across the UAE. Head in now and watch the PGA Championship reach a cruscendo, while Test cricket series and football friendlies will light up the summer.
And the venue has an ease to it that reflects the laid-back nature Arnel and cohort Sergio Lopez speak of when describing the Melbourne suburbia they draw inspiration from.
“Tom and I always aim to create venues that we ourselves want to hang out in, and Brunswick Sports Club is no exception,” said Lopez ahead of the launch in February.
“Think distinct and industrial fit-out that draws inspiration from a Brooklyn style gym with a spacious courtyard full of lush greenery – an affordable place for after work or on the weekends to ‘talk turkey’ with your mates, enjoy lively entertainment or watch a game and most importantly, to unwind,” offered Arnel.
And to be fair, it is a little indoor garden decked out with screens (don’t expect huge, more subtle) playing various sport from within the Sheraton Hotel at Mall of the Emirates. Those expecting vast expanse should look elsewhere, while anyone looking for a more cosy venue will be delighted.
The menu is an atypical dream for a ‘man’s man’, with burgers taking centre stage (the Mac Daddy is a treat).
Not only that, there is a wealth of drinks on offer and a bar-man with extensive knowledge of a variety of classical and home made drinks, which will expand your horizons.
Lovers of exclusive beverages in particular will delight at the widerange of offerings and are well advised to take up one of the chilled lockers on offer and fill it up with crafts from around the world.
Where the place really stands out is in its staff who are given free rein to twist your arm with recommendations and are always on hand to help you make your mind up.
It all creates an immensely welcoming atmosphere that is sure to keep you coming back for more and should make it a prime destination for the summer and beyond.
